1. The service
MyChurch App provides an online church administration system, member portal, and optional church website and Android/iOS apps ("the Service"). By registering or using the Service you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts
The person registering a church confirms they are authorised to act for that church. You are responsible for keeping login details confidential and for all activity under your account.
3. Free trial, fees and payment
- New churches receive a 14-day free trial.
- After the trial, the monthly subscription is payable in advance. Once-off add-ons (website installation, Android app, iOS app) are payable before delivery.
- Current prices are shown on our pricing page and may change with at least 30 days' notice.
- We send reminders 7, 3 and 1 day(s) before a trial or paid period ends. If it is not renewed, the Service keeps working for a grace period of 7 days; after that the church website, member portal and apps are suspended until payment is received. Church data is kept, and everything is restored as soon as payment is confirmed.
4. Church funds
Giving, event tickets and shop payments are paid directly to the church's own PayFast or bank account. MyChurch App does not receive, hold or refund church funds, and is not responsible for disputes between a church and its members about such payments.
5. Church content and member data
Churches own the content and member information they add. Each church is responsible for the lawfulness of that content and for complying with POPIA toward its members. We process member data as the church's operator, as described in our privacy policy.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service for unlawful, hateful, fraudulent or misleading content, to send spam, or to interfere with the Service or other churches' data. Marketplace adverts must be truthful and lawful.
7. Agents
Agents are independent resellers, not employees. Commission is earned on completed platform payments from churches linked to the agent, at the rate approved for that agent, and may be claimed once the threshold is reached and banking details are approved. We may suspend an agent for misrepresentation or abuse.
8. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. App store approval of church apps is subject to Google's and Apple's policies.
9. Cancellation
Churches may cancel at any time; the subscription runs to the end of the paid period. Once-off fees are not refundable once the work has been delivered, subject to the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid by the church in the three months before the claim.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
